Year 7 and Year 8
Pupils receive two, one hour lessons of PE per week. Pupils are taught a range of skills and tactics through a variety of sports. The aim is to enable students to become increasingly physically competent through being actively engaged in a range of physical activities, and to become increasingly effective in their performance in different types of physical activity and roles such as player/participant, leader and official.

Year 9
Pupils receive one, one hour lesson per week. Pupils are taught a range of skills and tactics through a variety of sports. The aim is to enable students to become increasingly physically competent through being actively engaged in a range of physical activities, and to become increasingly effective in their performance in different types of physical activity and roles such as player/participant, leader and official. In Year 9 pupils are expected to focus more on performance within the game to build on those skills and techniques that have been developed in Year 7 and Year 8.
