Image result for celebrating success

GCSE results day is always a tense but exciting time as we get to see and celebrate all the hard work that has taken place over the last 5 years at Broadgreen. Our class of 2019 have been a credit to themselves and the school; those who have followed their journey closely across the years will know how positively they have grown as individuals and how they have continued to impress us with their commitment and dedication.

Given the increased challenge and difficulty of the new GCSEs and the removal of much of the coursework, we are even more proud of their results this year as we know the extra study required to achieve. Therefore, we would like to offer a huge congratulations to all our students on their achievements as they continue to the next stage with their studies, knowing that their grades will have formed a strong foundation on which they can continue to build.

There have been some exceptional individual performances this year both in terms of attainment and progress, below is just a sample:

JA 3 x grade 9, 4 x grade 8, 2 x grade 7, 1 x grade

KS 2 x L2D*, 5 x grade 7, 3 x grade 6

TB 2 x grade 8, 3 x grade 7, 3 x grade 6, 1 x grade 5, 1 x grade 4

BB 1 x L2D*, 1 x grade 8, 1 x grade 7, 5 x grade 6, 2 x grade 5

EH 5 x grade 7, 3 x grade 6, 2 x grade 5

AT +2.7 grades above expected on average from KS2

MS +2.6 grades above average from KS2

HA +1.8 grades above average from KS2

30% of those students who studied and completed examinations in a full curriculum are anticipated to have achieved above expected progress based on their KS2 assessments.

It is with great delight that we welcome so many of of our amazing studenst back to study the IB in our sixth form in September, and we look forward to these results have leading to an expected bumper year in our new Y12!
